Colby Ryan Riles passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 21. Though his time here was far too short, Colby leaves behind a lifetime of love, memories, and the lasting impression of a gentle spirit who meant so much to those who knew him.
Colby is lovingly remembered by his parents, Keith Riles and Kimberly Picou (Leray); his siblings, Emily Riles, Deven Temple, and Kaitlyn Page; and his nephew, Kamari Riles. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wayne Riles and Diane Thornton, and his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Joanne Young.
Born on May 20, 2005, Colby brought joy, laughter, and warmth into the lives of his family and friends. He had a deep love for music and could often be found listening to his favorite songs or playing one of his guitars. Music was a special part of who he was, offering him comfort, expression, and happiness.
Colby also enjoyed the simple moments that brought him peace and connection, including swimming, fishing, spending time with his sister and best friend, Emily, and playing with his nephew, Kamari. These moments reflected the love he had for his family and the happiness he found in being close to the people who mattered most to him.
Colby will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, in the music he loved, and in the many cherished moments they shared together.
Serving as pallbearers will be Deven Temple, Jeffery Riles, Cayden Baronet, Chad Riles, Jr., Cameron Riles, and Bret Riles.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM until the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM.
