Charles Lindberg Law

A resident of Baker, Charles passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. He was 85, a native of Baton Rouge, and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He began his career as a carpenter, building houses with his dad, and retired as a General Maintenance Supervisor with the East Baton Rouge Parish School System with 38 years of service.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Wednesday, July 29, from 5-8pm, and on Thursday, July 30, from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Serving as pallbearers are Charles F. Law, Sam Cleveland, Conan Cleveland, Casey Cleveland, Brandon Neames, and Roe Neames.

Charles is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Bonnie and Sam Cleveland of St. Francisville, and Sharon Rider of Walker; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles F. and Kim Law of Pride; two grandchildren, Conan and Casey Cleveland; step-grandson, Christopher Bourgeois; three great grandchildren, Kayla Cleveland, and Alexis and Patrick Rafeedie; two great-great grandchildren, Addison Bailey and Aiden Brandt Chambliss; and a sister Ora Faye Bedell.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Betty Causey Law; grandson, Dustin Thomas Cleveland; eight siblings, Marie Hodgeson, Louise Miller, Walker Law, Katherine Pelletier, Helen Bagley, Dan Law, Leona Arbour, and Yvonne Warren; son-in-law, Mike Rider; and his parents, Leon F. and Mary Etta Woodard Law.

Charles was a member of the American Legion. He loved fishing, camping, and traveling the United States. He was a master of all trades, and could build anything. He will be greatly missed.
