"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

Carol Joan Thompson White entered this world Saturday, June 4th, 1938, and left for her heavenly home Thursday, July 19, 2018.

Carol led a very active life in public service. For many years, she was the director of Abundant Life Senior Group and a member of The Chancel Choir at her beloved church Blackwater United Methodist. She owned a salon for 38 years and later worked at the Clerk of Courts office.
Her love for God, community and her family were her life-long driving force.

Those left to cherish her wonderful legacy are her brother, Leroy "Sonny" Thompson and wife Trula; her children; Debbie Dougherty and husband, Kenny, Senator Mack "Bodi" White and wife, Robin, Bryan White and wife, Lisa, and Diane Hebert and husband Pastor Teryl Hebert. Carol was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Carol is preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Mack Al White, Sr.; her parents, Thomas LeRoy and Opal Thompson; her father and mother-in-law, Evans Eli and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzy" White; grandparents and numerous family members and friends whom she loved.

Our family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff, nurses and CNA's at Grace Health and Rehabilitation Center. You were all so amazing and loving to our mom during her final journey. A very special thank you to Hospice of Baton Rouge for the love and support shown to her as well. Her hospice nurse, Charmaine Parent who walked the last mile with our sweet mama and our family. May God bless each of you!

Our Mom loved Jesus and cherished her family. "Her children arise and call her blessed, her husband also; and he praises her. Many women do noble things - but you surpass them all." Proverbs 31:28-29
