Bruce Martin Rabalais, 78 years old, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend to many, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He entered this world on October 5, 1947, born to Edna and Lemie Rabalais, in Plaucheville, LA.

Bruce was a faithful member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. He retired after 37 faithful years with Entergy. He loved hunting and fishing, cooking for his family and friends, and cutting the grass on his zero-turn mower. He could fix almost anything, until most things became computerized. Bruce wasn't a big fan of technology.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Nancy Lemoine Rabalais; son, Casey Rabalais; daughter, Kristy Pickering (Scott); faithful companion, Chickie; 3 grandchildren, Jonathan, Krystal and Brandon; brother, Kerry Rabalais; 2 sisters, Jean Bernard and Sharlyne Reno (Anthony); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Bruce is preceded in death by his father, Lemie John Rabalais; mother, Edna Scallan Rabalais; brother, Gregory Rabalais; sister-in-law, Laura Rabalais; and brother-in-law, Percy Bernard.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, 14040 Greenwell Springs Rd, Greenwell Springs, LA 70739, on Thursday, July 30th, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the Mass at 12:00 PM, officiated by Father Jon Koehler. The private burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, LA.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Clarity Hospice for giving him what he finally wanted: to be home with Chickie and, "no more Dr. appointments." Thanks to all who visited him, prayed for him, and spent time with him (especially at Council on Aging). He is finally at peace.
