Bobby K. Rider

A resident of Baker, and a native of Mississippi, Bobby passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 20, 2014. He was 78, a retired welder, and a US Army Veteran.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Tuesday, June 24, from 10am until religious services in the chapel at 12pm, conducted by Bro. George Scruggs. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.

Survived by wife of 50 years, Carolyn Spillman Rider five daughters, Mary Delene Foreman, Evelyn Diane Hicks, DeWanna Ann Iffert, Vicky Dale Kearly, and Robin Lynn Day sister, Edna Kate Pate brother, Billy Rider 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Delene and Noble Rider.

Pallbearers are Tommy Hughes, Jimbo Hughes, Joshua Day, Jordan Day, Jeff Day, and Robert Foreman.

Bobby was a member of Harding Street Baptist Church, the Baker Masonic Lodge, and the Shriners. He loved gardening, and will be sadly missed.
