Bobby Gene McCarthy, Sr.

A resident of Baker, Bobby passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 5, 2014. He was 79, a native of Pampa, Texas, and a retired lab technician with Sid Richardson Carbon Company.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Monday, Dec. 8, from 48pm, and on Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Larry Watts. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 27, years, Ruby Gunter McCarthy two daughters, Sandra Jones and husband Harold, and Bobbie Joe Thompson and husband Larry two sons, Phillip McCarthy, and Bobby Gene McCarthy, Jr. four stepchildren, Brenda G. Watts and husband Larry, Jack Gunter, Sr. and wife Christine, Janet Gunter, and Steve Gunter and wife Edna sister, Jackie Lea Messner brother, Howard McCarthy, Jr. and wife Patti 15 grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Jenkins son, Gary Lee McCarthy and a sister, Patricia Miles.

Pallbearers are Zach McCarthy, Casey Borne, Howard McCarthy, Jr., Steve Gunter, Larry Watts, and Joe Hankins.

Bobby loved old cars, and going to car auctions. He enjoyed dancing, and hanging out with friends. He will be missed.
