Obituary

Billy Don Breaud, a man of profound faith, quiet strength, and fierce devotion, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 4, 2026. He passed away at the age of 62, enveloped in the deep love and comfort of his family.

His journey began on November 26, 1963, when he was born to Marjorie and William Breaud in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. From his earliest days in the Bayou State, Billy possessed an adventurous spirit and an undeniable grit. He was a man defined by his toughness, a resilience that was matched only by the gentleness of his heart when it came to those he loved.

An avid and passionate sportsman, Billy thrived on the thrill of competition and the camaraderie of the game. He spent years tearing up dirt tracks, racing motocross motorcycles with a fearless intensity that mirrored how he approached life's challenges. When he wasn't on two wheels, he could be found immersed in the strategy and energy of wrestling, football and basketball, sports that fueled his competitive nature and brought him immense joy.

Billy is survived by his loving of parents, William and Marjorie Kennedy Breaud; and sister, Bambi Lynne Breaud.

Billy is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Connie Floyd and Annie Bowen Kennedy; paternal grandparents, Fulton Jospeh and Alma Nettles Breaud; and Fulton's 2nd wife, grandma, Belle Root Breaud.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. The Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Mausoleum in Baker, LA .

The family extends their deepest thanks to the Palliative Care and Cancer Unit at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA. They are profoundly grateful for the compassionate care Billy received, with special thanks to Dr. Ellepsddi and Dr. Thompson for their dedicated guidance and support.
