Betty Tucker

Betty J. Tucker, 87 years old, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 18, 2018. She entered this world on September 4, 1930, in Stuttgart, AR, born to John and Cleo Skinner. Betty was a Past President and archivist of the Zachary Historic Village Association. She also chaired many of the Associations Fall Tour of Homes. She was a retired Bus Driver for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. She was a faithful member of Zachary United Methodist Church. Betty was known by so many and will be dearly missed.

Betty is survived by two daughters, Betty L. Tucker and Anna T. Hysom and husband Jason; and grandchildren, Tucker E. Hysom and Ella G. Hysom.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Emmett F. Tucker, Jr.; parents, John and Cleo Skinner; and sister, Delores Terrell.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Zachary United Methodist Church, 4205 Church St, Zachary, LA, on Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Reverend Harold Babin and Reverend Chris Roberts. The graveside service and burial will follow in the Tucker Cemetery, Deerford, LA.
