Barbara Ann McManus Spring, a devoted servant of God and a cherished matriarch, was peacefully called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the age of 87. Barbara's journey began on December 4, 1938, when she entered this world in Franklin County, Mississippi, born into the loving arms of her parents, Reatha and William McManus. From those early days in Mississippi, she grew into a woman defined by her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and an extraordinary capacity to care for those around her.

Her life was a beautiful reflection of devotion both to her family, whom she nurtured with boundless grace, and to her Savior, whose teachings guided her every step. Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories that will forever inspire the family she loved so dearly.

Barbara is survived by her son, Stephen "Kirk" Spring (Darlene); 2 grandchildren, Courtney Nicole Tate (Chris) and Kaitlyn Spring; 4 great-grandchildren, Camden Datz, Britton Bercegeay, Connor Tate, and Carlee Tate; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in death by her father, William Harvey McManus; mother, Reatha Gill McManus; son, Julian Chris Spring; granddaughter, Kimberly Gail Spring; brothers, Murphy McManus, Ingram McManus, Milton McManus, and Lloyd McManus; and sister, Rita McManus Boyte.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Dr. Eddie Wren. The graveside service and burial will follow at Norman E. "Pete" Heine Memorial Gardens (Hillcrest Memorial Gardens), in Baker, Louisiana.
