Anthony Wright

A Celebration of Life for Anthony Spurgeon Wright (Toneburg or Ol' Padnuh), beloved husband, father and friend will be held on Friday, February 15th, 2019 at 11am. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 14th, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday, February 15th, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Tony entered this world on December 3, 1961, born in Cocoa Beach, FL. Tony honorably served in the Army, and in his later years owned and operated his own business, A. Wright Inspections. He was devoted to perfecting his craft, and was the smartest at what he did.

His favorite past-times were hunting, fishing, and being grouchy. He enjoyed reloading bullets and cooking anything he could find on YouTube, which was always, scrumdillyitious (in Toneburg lingo) Tony was a fun-loving man who loved his wife Loretta more than anything, and all his kids and grand babies. He spent his life taking care of all of us, and teaching us invaluable lessons such as how to put a worm on a fishing hook, but most importantly, how to take care of one another when his time came. We can all agree that Tony was a great man, and he will be greatly missed. I'm almost certain at some point in the future, a "skut skut skut" will come out of nowhere, and we'll all laugh and smile, knowing he's watching over us.

Tony married Loretta, the love of his life, in 1992, who survives him. Tony is also survived by daughters, Krissi and partner Mario, and Melissa Smith; two sons, Eric Smith, Jason Smith and wife Melissa, as well as a host of grandchildren. Also surviving are his two brothers, Michael Wright and Joseph Wright and wife Karen; and his lifelong friend, Martin Blacklock, who was with him until the end.

Tony was predeceased by parents, Robert and Barbara Wright; and brother, Robert Wright, Jr.

The service will be held at Baker Funeral Home in Baker, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Garden and Mausoleum.
