Alvin Bo Bourke

A resident of Baker, and meat shop supervisor with Sonoco, he passed away on Friday, August 01, 2014 at Lane Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was 59, and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Monday, August 4, from 59pm. Bo is survived by his best friend and wife of 41 years, Mary Susan Bourke three children, Chris and wife Nadia, Chad and wife, Jennifer, and Linda and husband Tony Valenti six grandchildren, Dylan, Megan, and Chris Bourke, Kaitlyn and Elizabeth Valenti, and Camille Risenhoover mother, Thelma Bourke and a sister and brotherinlaw, Cindy and Kerry Kendrick. Preceded in death by his father, Eldred Bourke. Bo was a dedicated family man. He loved family gatherings, and enjoyed boating, skiing, cooking, ATVing, and playing horseshoes. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Special thanks to Diane Sontheimer for making Bo a part of the Sonoco family.
