Thelma Keowen Bourke, 86 years old, a resident of Central, beloved mother, and friend to many, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 3, 2018. She entered this world on October 16, 1931 in Baton Rouge, LA, born to Percy and Maggie Keowen.

Thelma is survived by her loving daughter, Cindy Bourke Kendrick and husband Kerry; daughter-in-law, Susan Bourke; 4 grandchildren, Chris and Nadia Bourke, Chad and Jennifer Bourke, Linda and Tony Valenti, and Luke Kendrick; and 8 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Megan, and Chris Bourke, Kaitlyn and Elizabeth Valenti, Camille Risenhover, Angel Kendrick, and Hannah Schlatre; sister-in-law, Janet Polly Velega.

Pallbearers will be Chris Bourke, Chad Bourke, Dylan Bourke, Luke Kendrick, Tony Valenti, Brian Skelton.

Thelma is preceded in death by her loving husband, Eldred Bourke; son, Alvin "Bo" Bourke; and parents, Percy and Maggie Keowen.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Blackwater United Methodist Church, 10000 Blackwater Rd, Baker, on Monday, February 5, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until funeral service at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Reverend Jonathan King. The graveside service and burial will follow in Blackwater United Methodist Church Cemetery.
