Carl Laurence Michelli, Sr., 76 years old, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 2, 2018. He entered this world on August 22, 1941 in Baton Rouge, LA, born to Dominic and Floy Michelli. He worked as a master carpenter most of his life and was very loyal member at St. Isidore Catholic Church.
Carl is survived by his son, Carl L. Michelli, Jr. and wife Lynda, “The 2nd Son”, Richard Wilkens, Jr.; two step-daughters, Wendi and Shane Sherman and Amy and Erasmo Carmona, Jr.; grandchildren, Caleb and Casey Michelli, Sr., Zachary and Mackenzie Michelli, Levi Michelli, Hunter Michelli, Devon Puch, Blayne, Wayne, and Joslyn Sherman, Kaitlyn, Jacob, and Timothy Page, and Bella Carmona; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Jr., Rayne, Braxton, Maddox, Nevaeh, and Alayzah Michelli; brother, Dominic Michelli, Jr.; sister, Susan Michelli; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carl is preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Jewell; second wife, Becky Page, and parents, Dominic Paul and Floy Catherine Michelli.
Pallbearers will be Lewis Kelly, Richard Wilkens, Jr., Bob Whitaker and Caleb Michelli, Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Rd, Baton Rouge, LA, Friday, April 6, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until the mass at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Father Frank Bass. Following the services, there will be Celebration of Life reception at St. Isidore.
In lieu flowers, the family asks that donation be made to St. Isidore Catholic Church.

Mr. Carl was a man who by his actions taught me what Community Service and Giving back to your Church Parish was about. He was a Leader by example, and that alone motivated many who knew him to simply, get involved. There are many who command or demand respect. Carl earned mine.

We were friends for years. We meet by our kids (Tara and Carl, Jr.) love of music. There you and Carol and I became best friends. You both help me so many times.
Even after we lost Carol, our friendship continued. You will be missed by me and so many others. You are now another of my angels to help me in my life's journey. Love you always.
