From that day forward he was known to everyone as “Buckshot”. He enjoyed, yard work, gardening, outdoors in general, traveling, and he was an avid hunter and fisherman, often running from the Game Warden. Buck will be missed dearly by his wife, children, extended family and everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Buck is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Debra Merritt Chelette; two sons, Chad Chelette and Bobby Chelette and husband, Josh Coors; daughter, Lisa Hickman; grandson, Cheaunce “Leo” Hickman; two granddaughters, Alexandra Riley and Alana Chelette; brother, Scottie Chelette and wife Debbie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Buck is preceded in death by his father, N.R. “Tib” Chelette; mother, Thelma White; sister, Sheila Ann Chelette; brother, Raymond Delane Chelette; his infant son, Stacy Wayne Chelette; granddaughter, Danielle Hickman; and his best friend, Oliver Brandenburg.
